Made completely of wood with rawhide wrapped wheels. They were usually pulled by oxen and could carry up to 800 lbs of goods. This cart was the main mode of freight transporation in the Red River valley and Canadin west during the 1800s and most were contracted by the Husdson's Bay Company to carry furs.
